Chinafloors feels that responsible forest management and trade are an increasing concern of its customers and is becoming more and more crucial for a long-term sustainable business.
Chinafloors is working towards more responsible use of forest products. Within the new partnership, Chinafloors commits to tracing all its timber and paper products back to the forest source and to using raw material from certified forests.
Responsible sourcing
Chinafloors believes that the main objective in responsible sourcing is creating a profound awareness of the significance of these efforts - not only among the suppliers in China , but to our Customers worldwide as well.
Together with GFTN, Chinafloors has set up an ambitious plan to make sure that all of its material comes from known and legal sources in the near future. Therefore, Chinafloors is proactively encouraging and educating the members of its entire supply chain to do the same.
In a recent new audit performed by GFTN, the positive results are already very clear, with more than 97% of the sources of Chinafloors are identified.
For wood products, the main supply of material is coming from Europe .
Due to European legislation, processes are very strict and forests are managed closely. |
