   Some Chinese manufacturers already have established safeguard systems to protect themselves, their downstream customers, and continue to support global environmental efforts. A good example is Chinafloors Shanghai Timber Ltd, which, according to its President Thomas Baert, uses PEFC or FSC certified wood sourced from Europe in its flooring and also controls the entire manufacturing process on its own site.
