Chinafloors starts with construction of new site

Chinafloors officially laid the first stone of its future flooring factory in Zhejiang province, close to the southern border of Shanghai.  With its 200,000sqmt (2million sqft) surface, the facility, by all standards china’s most advanced, will allow the company to join the ranks of the top league of international flooring players in terms of size as well as production technology.

The $25 million investment will generate a state of the art wood and laminate flooring facility combined on one site.  A fully vertically integrated wood production enables processing from wood logs to pre-finished hardwood flooring, while the laminate facility will be a fully automated production flow focused on high end laminate flooring products.  China’s largest integrated flooring factory is set to start production in July 2008.
